With Timly MCP, you manage your inventory and maintenance through natural conversation with your AI. Timly provides its own MCP server that connects your preferred AI directly to your Timly account – such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Perplexity.

What is MCP? The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that connects AI tools to external systems in a consistent way – comparable to a universal adapter. Any MCP-compatible AI can work with your Timly data without a custom integration.

Ask in your own words: “Who currently has the circular saw?”, “Which cable reel is available?” or “Where is this device, and how did it get there?” The AI answers based on the real data in Timly – including the complete history of creation, assignments and returns. Even multi-step questions, such as an item’s current location together with the responsible person, are answered in a single response.

Get tasks done by instruction: create one-time or recurring maintenance tickets with assigned responsibilities, change ticket statuses by command, assign equipment with a return date, create reservations or manage stock items including minimum stock levels. Simply paste tabular exports from SAP or Excel – the AI recognises the columns and creates the records automatically.

You stay in control: pure queries deliver results immediately. Any action that changes, adds or deletes data is only carried out after your explicit confirmation. The AI works strictly within your permission scope – the same access rights that apply in Timly also apply in the chat.

Securely connected: connect via OAuth2 using your personal Timly login, with no API key management required, or alternatively via a dedicated MCP token. Access is activated per account and per user.
