Exhaust & Diverter Services
The Exhaust & Diverter Services offered by NEM address upgrades, maintenance checks, and continuous maintenance programs. With a focus on exhaust gas bypass systems equipped with diverter dampers, guillotines, and safety-related dampers, NEM ensures the integrity of these critical components through regular overhauls and comprehensive inspection services. This service is supplemented by Erection, start-up & commissioning of new build components as well as Engineering Services and Operator training.

EXO Touch
The innovativeEXO TOUCH model features single-point heat trace control capability, an LCD touchscreen, two thermistor inputs, visual and audible alarms, and a variety of adjustable control settings. The 4.3” resistive touch display allows the user to easily navigate through the available control settings on the simple and intuitive interface. EXO TOUCH is internationally certified for usage in Ordinary Locations. With an outdoor-rated enclosure, it offers exceptionalperformance and reliability, regardless of the weather. EXO TOUCH conforms to UL-61010-1 and is in process for getting UL-515A approval for the fire sprinkler application.

FED learning – Cross-location acoustic fault detection in production
The exhibit shows how an AI-based acoustic monitoring system analyzes machine conditions, detects faults, and relies on cross-location learning. Identical machines are in use at each location of the system, and their operating noises are analyzed by AI. The pre-trained models classify three different conditions. Since errors occur rarely, the amount of data available for AI training at a single location is limited. This is where distributed learning (federated learning) comes in: instead of exchanging confidential audio data directly, the AI models share only learned knowledge in the form of model parameters. This improves error detection across locations without compromising data security. The demonstrator shows an innovative combination of intelligent acoustic condition monitoring and distributed learning – in this example, specifically for classifying engine noises. Condition monitoring using airborne sound analysis and AI is conceivable for many applications in industrial production – whether for continuous monitoring of motors and gearboxes or for monitoring individual production steps, such as welding battery boxes. Thanks to the optimal selection of acoustic sensors and pre-trained AI models, deviations and errors can be reliably detected even in noisy industrial environments.
