      HIMMEL®-Drum motors

      HIMMEL®-drum motors are used for driving both stationary and mobile conveyor belts to move various types of bulk materials; they are also used in transport systems that do not use belts. The HIMMEL®-drum motor has a space-saving design and good adaptability for varying usage conditions, allowing to be used in ever more different applications. It has already been successfully in use for decades in many areas of conveyor technology. HIMMEL®-drum motors are designed so that the electromotor and reduction gear are housing inside the drum shell, forming a closed gear unit that is well protected against external influences. Good dimensioning of the individual parts guarantees a long service life, even under tough operating conditions. The latest production methods ensure low noise operation with high efficiency. The mutual clamping shafts are flattened and allow for simple and time-saving installation using a two-part clamping point. HIMMEL®-drum motors have an entirely closed design, making them dust-proof and hose-proof up to IP69k. They are therefore suitable for use outdoors and in dusty or damp spaces. Electromagnetic brakes, backstops and rotational speed monitors can be installed. The design principle of HIMMEL®-drum motors ensures low noise and the minimal installation space makes them space-saving drive solutions.

      HIMMEL®-Gear motors

      HIMMEL®gear motors are used for driving slow running machines. A gear motor is the combination of a motor and a gear unit. The gear unit works to make the drive shaft rotate at a lower speed and higher torque than the motor shaft. For this reason, HIMMEL®gear motors are used where the required output speeds and torques cannot be economically achieved using conventional electric motors. The applications for gear motors are very wide ranging. Primary applications in industry are driving haulageways as well as lifting, lowered and moving loads in various plant systems. The design principle of HIMMEL®gear motors ensures low noise and the minimal installation space makes them space-saving drive solutions.       Why not significantly improve a good product? Our customers are increasingly focused on extending the service life and thus increasing the cost-effectiveness of their machines and equipment. In many sectors, hydraulic cylinders are subjected to very high mechanical and abrasive loads. This is particularly true for applications in potash and rock salt mining, underground and surface mining, quarries, the iron and steel industry, and power plants. These stresses are even present in offshore applications and the food industry. As a manufacturer and maintenance provider, we have made it our mission to further develop hydraulic cylinders for these applications, setting a new standard. In collaboration with leading experts in materials development, we have succeeded in achieving this goal. HTec hydraulic cylinders feature materials that combine new materials with a special surface coating. The HTec materials have been extensively researched and tested by RWTH Aachen University. A hardness of over 1700 Vickers (HV) has been confirmed. All coatings are extremely corrosion-resistant, and peeling or flaking is impossible. A further advantage is the materials' excellent sliding and emergency running properties, virtually eliminating cavitation, galling, and adhesion tendencies. In addition to their use in hydraulic cylinders, HTec material variants can also be used on many other components, such as bushings, bolts, and rollers, that are subject to increased stress. The right combination can be selected from the HTec family portfolio for every application.

      Instead of the usual internal mechanical control circuit and external control drive, the latest generation uses an external proportional valve to adjust the blade position. This has the advantage that the valve can also be replaced during operation without stopping the fan.
