PowerCare - Cognitive power electronics for more efficient and fail-safe drive systems - Fraunhofer IMS
PowerCare offers an edge-based monitoring concept for continuously operated and failure-critical industrial drives. With intelligence integrated locally in the motor driver for early failure indication for 1. electric motors (e.g. bearing damage) and 2. semiconductor components in the power module (e.g. transistor degradation). The algorithms for local failure monitoring can be ported to a variety of motor controllers and microcontrollers and offer - Failure indication directly on the critical drive - Data security through edge-based instead of cloud-based evaluation - Low latency - “real-time capable” - Application-specific adaptation (e.g. bearing damage in conveyor belt systems) Furthermore, the current trend towards new types of wide bandgap semiconductors such as gallium nitride (GaN) - more compact designs of power modules and - high efficiency values can be achieved in converters (up to 30% less power loss compared to silicon-based power semiconductors). However, the lack of reliability of new power electronics is putting early adopters to the test. This is particularly true for critical electrical drive systems, where failure can put people at risk. PowerCare offers monitoring of power modules with next-generation semiconductors for this purpose. Your contact at the stand: Dr. Sebastian Wirtz Fraunhofer IMS

PREDICTIVE CONTROL
Do you know the health status of the equipment that is critical to your production process? With Predictive CONTROL, you can keep an eye on your machines and processes! We offer a range of services designed to listen to, observe, analyze, and monitor all electrical and mechanical systems.

Predictive Maintenance
Do you want to avoid machine downtime and reduce your costs? Predictive maintenance makes it possible. Using intelligent sensors and data analysis, we identify deviations in the machine system at an early stage. Based on this, we plan maintenance in a targeted manner before machines come to an unplanned standstill. You save time, materials, and personnel. Our teams of experts equip your systems regardless of manufacturer and continuously evaluate data so that your machines work more efficiently. While you concentrate on your core business, we secure your processes with state-of-the-art technologies, expertise, and individual service—reliably and future-proof. Find out more at:

Predictive maintenance planning in pump operation
Our model can measure and calculate the current wear and tear of pumps, which affects quality, reliability, and energy consumption. By predicting the remaining service life, it provides the basis for implementing predictive maintenance planning. Both performance variables (current, voltage, speed) and vibration measurements can be used as a basis for calculating the condition. We can help you install and commission the forecast for your pumps. This includes parameterization, installation, and connection to IPCs, as well as the provision of forecasts via OPC/UA or MQTT. Predictive Maintenance Software
With our software, you can identify potential machine faults at an early stage without complex IT-projects. Your benefits at a glance: 1. Real-time monitoring including AI fault detection 2. Avoiding downtimes & reducing maintenance costs 3. Suitable for all types of machines & scalable at any time

PREFIT
Our customers include renowned German car manufacturers who have relied on the PREFIT principle for many years. We use our expertise to flag up which elements are particularly at risk of failure. We work in close consultation with you to help you make the right decision.

Pressure Monitoring
Pressure monitoring in hydraulic systems is a parameter for the transmitted power. In lubrication systems, the monitoring of the system pressure indicates whether all lubrication points of the system are being sufficiently provided with lubricant. Traditionally, conventional pressure switches, where metering points and displays are separated, transmitters and displays are connected by pipes or hoses. Bühler’s pressure measurement technology eliminates these connections and replaces them using flexible cables. This reduces the risk of leakage and the installation costs decrease significantly.

Pressure, Temperature and Level Sensors and Switches
Hydrotechnik supply a wide variety of measurement and pressure transmitters for flow, pressure, temperature, RPM, current, voltage and many more measurable factors. As modern operating systems demand greater quality, efficiency and safety from the measurement equipment they use, the need to offer sensors with increased accuracy and reliability continues to grow globally. Hydrotechnik are on hand to offer a huge array of solutions.

PressureLock – The exclusive lockout/tagout solution for pneumatics
Safety redefined: Tamper protection for pneumatic quick-release couplings. The PressureLock is an innovative safety locking device available exclusively from Schärer+Kunz. It was specifically developed to protect pneumatic lines against unintentional or unauthorized connection. The robust two-component system secures quick-release couplings with a release ring by blocking both the hose receptacle and the actuating mechanism. Its advantages at a glance: • Maximum tamper protection: The radial and axial positive locking, as well as the enclosure of the ring flange, effectively prevents hose insertion and tampering. • Tool-free installation: The device is simply placed around the release ring and closed via an integrated hinge. Opening and closing it is tool-free for quick service. • Universal compatibility: Thanks to its standardized receptacle geometry, the system fits a wide variety of common quick-release couplings. It is available in three different sizes to ensure broad coverage of industrial applications. • Clear process reliability: Optional integrated clamping sections allow for direct attachment of the removed pneumatic hose to the device. This prevents confusion with multiple connections and increases the reliability of the connection. • Standard-compliant locking: The PressureLock can be locked with standard padlocks; a multi-point locking system is also available as an option. Technical highlights: • Two-part housing system: Consisting of robust, durable, and dimensionally stable injection-molded plastic parts with a hinge. • Axial cover: The hose connection is completely covered to guarantee maximum safety. • Visible shut-off: The device ensures increased workplace safety through a clearly recognizable indication of the shut-off source. Preventive maintenance
We will carry out preventive work either for reasons of operational safety (where the consequences of a failure are unacceptable), for economic reasons (it is less expensive), or sometimes for practical reasons (the equipment is only available for maintenance at specific times).
