Phenolic resin-bound acrylic fiber filter cartridges type “APK” are produced in a special process, whereby a solid matrix structure with graduated permeability is created. The “gulled” structure increases the surface of the filter candle, thereby ensuring a higher dirt collection capacity. In addition, particle release is simultaneously prevented at increasing differential pressure. The entire production of the pheno resin-bound acrylic fiber filter cartridges takes place without the use of silicones.
The properties of the synthetic phenolic resin binding material are ideal for use under difficult conditions such as high temperatures, high liquid viscosities and high differential pressures.
