Putsch® K01 type membrane filter cartridges are manufactured under strictly controlled conditions in a cleanroom. Membranes used in filtration technology are very thin films (from approximately 50 µm) with precisely defined pores so small that even bacteria are retained.
In addition to the reliable assurance that the membrane filter cartridges effectively filter, these high-quality filter cartridges offer monitoring and documentation capabilities. The precise pore filter matrix allows for the application of physical testing methods to monitor leak tightness, which is particularly important in the pharmaceutical industry, quality management, and semiconductor manufacturing.
The core of the filter cartridges is the polyethersulfone membrane, which is chemically resistant, adsorbs only a small number of dissolved medicinal substances, and exhibits the highest fluid flow rate among membranes. These product characteristics of the membrane filter cartridges are also utilized for ultrapure water and ultrapure chemicals, in medical technology, and in biotechnology.
