Aachen and horses – it’s a tradition: horse races have been held at Aachen’s Soers since 1898. Even back then, participants from all over Europe competed. The CHIO has since developed into a top international equestrian event. From show jumping and driving to vaulting, a wide variety of disciplines take place here, with European and world championships being held – always accompanied by a diverse supporting program. The bar is set high. There is no room for mistakes or disruptions. That is why the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e. V. (ALRV), as the organizer of the event, has relied on gevetec’s comprehensive support for its power supply for over 20 years: Throughout the year, electrical and building technicians maintain the properties, check the equipment used, and service the systems. “The CHIO is not only the most prestigious equestrian tournament in the world, it is also the largest sporting event in Germany. Everything has to be coordinated and function smoothly. In gevetec, we have found a company that is both technically competent and reliably implements our requirements,” explains Ulrich Fischer, responsible for exhibitions and events at the organizer.
