At the Berlin branch, a small training workshop has been providing practical preparation for the final exam since the beginning of 2025. The trainees receive support from an experienced master craftsman who works with them specifically to prepare for the exam. This collaboration shows how important collegial support is in training – and what a difference it makes. Young talents are also entering the technical world of work in Frickenhausen. One of the trainees completed his apprenticeship after just two years and was immediately hired by Piepenbrock.
Particularly valuable: assignments beyond the trainee’s own branch are an integral part of the training program. Stints at the subsidiary Häckel or at the Mönchengladbach branch open up new perspectives, expand technical knowledge, and strengthen the network within the group of companies. Raffael Kühnel, Technical Training Manager for Human Resources Development and Recruiting at Piepenbrock, emphasizes: “Supra-regional assignments are a great added value because the trainees learn from a wide variety of people and grow as a result.”
