Under the project management of Tobias Oehler (SE Tylose), maintenance was strategically restructured. The goal was to replace several outdated individual systems, centralize processes, and fully digitize maintenance. Based on SAP ECC and with the argvis Maintenance Portal as a modern front end, maintenance planning, order processing, and mobile maintenance are now completely paperless and directly integrated into the SAP back end. For the first time, production employees and maintenance technicians without prior IT access are actively involved in the digital processes and collect data directly at the equipment. A key success factor was the interdisciplinary collaboration in agile project teams with short feedback cycles. This enabled the project to be successfully implemented from initiation to go-live in just six months. The result: greater transparency in maintenance processes, networked machine and fault data, and a solid foundation for data analysis and future AI applications.
