Highly efficient drives

Sustainability and climate protection were already good reasons for saving energy, but the rise in prices has meanwhile made it essential to reduce the amount of energy used.

Within a certain period of time, the Ecodesign Regulation requires that newly launched motors must meet a corresponding IE class. That makes sense, because drives that run continuously (even in one shift) save a lot of energy with better efficiency.

Repairing old drives is therefore often pointless, but knowledge of the systems and operation is required to select a suitable replacement. Many drives are oversized, so a 1:1 power swap is only partially successful.
