For the new power-to-heat plant in the Lausitz Industrial Park, ETABO is constructing a 25 MW electrode boiler system on behalf of BASF. In August 2025, the electrode boiler, feedwater tank, and electric superheater were successfully installed – a key milestone in the project. The electrode boiler uses electrical energy to generate steam and will supplement the existing gas and steam turbine power plant, thereby reducing fuel costs and CO₂ emissions. Commissioning is planned for 2026 – ETABO and its experienced team are fully on schedule and are actively contributing to a climate-friendly energy supply.
