The project “In|Die RegionWestfalen: Competence Region for Green Production” has received funding of €3.6 million as part of the RegioNRW – Transformation project call.
The leading economic development agencies from Dortmund, Bochum, Hagen, Hamm, and the Unna district have joined forces to combat advancing deindustrialization and promote more resilient, environmentally friendly, and intelligent production in key technologies. Industrial companies receive individual support with tailored offerings ranging from information provision and coaching to networking. The goal: the transformation into a “competence region for green production” in Europe, including through economic development, the expansion of regional cooperation structures, and the tackling of global challenges such as the energy crisis and the shortage of skilled workers. This is a groundbreaking initiative to sustainably strengthen economic development.
